Constructed as expected; but dont expect too much. Lock is cheap but does work. Sturdy shell and hinges. My carry bag has a hoop top (most do) and its a tight fit; though it will work. If you have a larger size bag you need to consider getting the larger hard case. Surprisingly heavy too; not something you want to carry too far; approx 40-50lbs fully loaded.
